Slope angles have a resolution of 3 - 10 meters.
Use Slope Angles to navigate while avoiding risky or steep areas. Avalanches occur most frequently on slopes steeper than 35°. Click here to learn about Avalanche Forecasts.

Turn on Slope Angles in the Map Mode Menu. Click here for instructions on how to use the Map Mode Menu.
Tap the Slope Angles button to view color-coded Slope Angles on your map.
To see Slope Angles more clearly, switch to the Topo Basemap. Click here to learn more about using Basemaps in onX Offroad.
- Green - flatter than 25°
- Yellow - 25° to 30°
- Orange - 30° to 35°
- Red - 35° to 40°
- Purple - 40° to 45°
- Blue - steeper than 45°
