If you need to mark locations, measure distances, draw areas, or build routes in the onX Offroad App or Web Map, you can do so from the Tools menu. Waypoints, Routes, Lines, Shapes, and Tracks are collectively called Markups and saved to your account in the My Content menu.
How to use Map Tools in the onX Offroad App
Tap the Tools button at the bottom of the main map screen to open the Tools menu.
Build Route: Drop points on the map to build a Route that snaps to the closest roads and trails. Learn more about building Routes.
Add Waypoint: Place a Waypoint at the center of your current map view.
Add Photo: Create a Waypoint with a photo attached. You can take a new photo or choose one from your device's library.
Mark My Location: Instantly drop and save a Waypoint at your current physical location.
Line Distance: Draw a line and measure the distance between two or more points. Measurements are based on the unit system (Imperial or Metric) selected from the in-App Settings menu.
Area Shape: Drop three or more points on the map, then select Save to save it to the My Content menu.
