Basemaps show you the terrain you'll encounter in the field. Switch between aerial imagery, topography, and hybrid views to understand the shape of the land and conditions on the ground. Map Layers add additional data on top of your chosen Basemap.
How to change Basemaps
Tap the Layers button to open the Basemaps menu, then swipe left to scroll through the available Basemaps and tap one to select it.
The following Basemaps are available:
- Satellite—aerial imagery.
- Hybrid—aerial imagery with contour lines overlaid.
- HD Topo: a topographic map complete with LiDAR and contour intervals.
- Topo—a standard 1:24k scale topographic map with contour lines to show changes in elevation.
- Recent—recent imagery captured approximately two weeks prior.
3D Mode
Tap 2D/3D to switch between a flat and three-dimensional map view.
Map Layers
Open the Layers menu and swipe up to view all available Map Layers. Tap any Map Layer icon to turn it on or off.
