This article explains how to use the onX Offroad App, including where to find key features like trail filters, Offline Maps, Go & Track, Map Layers, and the Discover tool. Use it as a reference for navigating the map screen and understanding what each button and toolbar item does.

Key features overview
Most of the tools you'll use live in the bottom toolbar. Additional controls are found along the top and right side of the screen.
Main Menu: Update your account, adjust your map settings, or get help while you're still in service.
Search: Find public landowners, trail names, or points of interest near your route. Learn more about using the Search feature.
Activity Filter: Filter trails based on what you're riding: dirt bike, ATV, SxS, full-width rig, or overland setup. You can also switch between Dirt and Snow modes depending on the season. Learn more about filtering your map.
Weather: Check wind speed and weather conditions before you hit open ridgelines or plan a trip into the backcountry. Learn more about checking current weather conditions.
Layers Menu: Switch between Satellite, Topo, and Hybrid map views, and access available Map Layers. Learn more about using Map Layers.
3D Toggle: Switch between a two-dimensional and three-dimensional map view.
Location: Center the map on your current location, orient the map to your heading, and use the compass for trail navigation. Learn more about finding your location.
Discover: Tap the Discover button in the lower-left corner to show a list of trails within 100 miles of the center point of your map. Learn more about the Discover feature.
Offline Maps: Save your ride area before you lose cell service. Ideal for remote zones where you're relying on GPS alone. Learn how to save and manage Offline Maps.
My Content: View and edit all of your saved Waypoints, Lines, Tracks, Shapes, and Routes. Export or share Markups with other users. Learn more managing your saved Markups.
Tools: Measure distance between trailheads or create custom Markups to map out fuel stops, obstacles, or campsite options. Learn more about using Map Tools.
Go & Track: Record your ride to log your distance, time, speed, and breadcrumb trail. Useful for tracking multi-day routes or helping others follow your path. Learn more about Go & Track.
